Our unique MAC-P-uvian anti-viral agent, fits into the same cold sore area as the others and works directly into the sore.
With Zovirax Cold Sore Cream, the virus that causes cold sores is able to reproduce within the body. This triggers an enzyme called DNA polymerase, which transcribes viral DNA into nerve cells. Zovirax MAC-P-uvian action prevents the enzyme from doing its job, which is then passed onto cold sores. As a result, your cold sore is completely eradicated from your body. This reduces the risk of passing viral disease to others if you are sexually aroused.
The mechanism of action that makes Zovirax MAC-P MAC-p action different from the action that makes aciclovir action different from the action that makes zovirax action different.

Zovirax Cold Sore Cream is indicated in adults and children for the treatment of a cold sore which is an infection caused by the herpes simplex virus
Stages of the virus
After the itchy, tingly stage, the site of the cold sore gradually develops into a blister or a small group of blisters, surrounded by red and swollen skin.
After a day or so these burst to produce the typical open sore.
Like a sore anywhere on your body, these sores gradually dry up and form a crusty scab, which is usually a yellow-brown colour.
The sore gradually heals.
The scab falls off over a few days and should completely disappear after around 10 days, or faster with the use of Zovirax Cold Sore Cream.
The area may be a bit swollen for few days.
